NASHVILLE, Tenn. Aug. 4, 2020 – Vibronyx, a Supply Chain technology and analytics services company, has announced the appointment of Quentin Noreiga, Ph.D., as Director, Aerospace and Defense.
“Having worked alongside the customer he’ll now be servicing – the Department of Defense (DOD) – Quentin has a unique perspective and understanding of what those customer needs are and how to translate them into solutions,” said Clayton Nicholas, Vibronyx CEO. “Together, we’ll be able to leverage Quentin’s expertise and apply it in a new way for our Aerospace and Defense clients.”
After 25 years in the United States (U.S.) Army, Noreiga joins Vibronyx to grow and service the company’s Aerospace and Defense clients, including its recently-awarded Phase III follow-on contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to modernize food management systems.
“Vibronyx describes itself as business-minded Veterans rooted in the Warrior Ethos, a mission that resonates with me on a deep level based on the oath I took to uphold our nation’s Constitution, and my desire to continue supporting our country however I can,” Noreiga said. “I’m looking forward to leveraging my skills as a problem solver to help our clients address the world’s toughest digital and cybersecurity supply chain challenges.”
During his time with the U.S. Army, Noreiga worked as an Army systems engineer, strategist, logistician and educator specializing in optimization, game theory and complex problem solving. Further, he worked as a data scientist and led large-scale data science projects and teams. Noreiga’s experience in a variety of military roles combined with his diverse educational background in strategic studies, engineering and business will enable him to help Vibronyx clients drive supply chain predictability, visibility and speed of delivery.
Noreiga will officially retire as a Colonel after 25 years of military service in September. Most recently, he served as Military Deputy Director for the Army Materiel Command Analysis Group in Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Prior to that, he served as Director, Logistics Data Analysis Center for the U.S. Army Logistics Data Analysis Center (also in Redstone Arsenal) where he led a 700-person center conducting logistics execution, data analysis and tool development.
Noreiga earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Business Administration from Old Dominion University, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Engineering & Operations Research from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Air Force War College.
Noreiga begins his role with Vibronyx this month and will be working remotely from Huntsville, Ala.
